These sessions are aimed at families with 1-2 children. If you have 4 or more children you may like to either book a double session or a full karamac session on another day. The package cost is $250 per session. You will be given a link and password to a private gallery where you will find a minimum of 10 stunning fully edited and worked images from which you can choose; three 5×7 inch matted desk prints and one 12×18 inch wall print. A karamac print is a work of art that is given an extremely high level of attention to detail to allow your children to really shine. A karamac print is so much more than an image straight out of the camera.

Kissing Point Park in Putney provides a lovely backdrop and offers something for everyone. It’s located on the Parramatta River, has a timber wharf, green grass, lovely trees and a fun tyre swing. The following are links to some of the sessions that have taken place at this wonderful location:

A little about this picture. Usually at this time of year we are on our annual ski trip in New Zealand. This is my winter backdrop. I dream about the pictures I can take here. Stunning isn’t it?! Now an annual ski trip to New Zealand sounds a bit extravagant, I know. But we have family there that host us for a very special annual holiday. It’s our home away from home and we love it so and we love them so. This year, for various reasons we find ourselves at our actual home, in Sydney. It feels odd. My husband and I are deeply sentimental fools and creatures of habit. It’s taking all my strength not to book us all on the next flight out of here to visit our Kiwi family xxx Oh the missing the picture stirs! R, S and P, if you’re reading this – we love you xxx

winter mini sessions update | sydney family photographer

There’s been a great response to the mini sessions so far! There are a couple of sessions still available on both days so if you’re thinking of booking in – don’t delay and book now.

And just because a blog post is a bit boring without a photo, here’s one I prepared earlier. She makes me fall even deeper in love with the “idea” of having more children. Cluck, cluck, cluck.

New Eyes | Sydney Family Photographer

…. I needed to share. This was just one of those sessions that I keep going back to look at again and again. Today I was sorting through some negatives and stumbled upon this beauty. Little Miss E is fast becoming my muse.

There’s a bit of excitement | Sydney Child Photographer

… in our household about the release of Toy Story 3. Rascally R put on a show for the locals yesterday afternoon. He had a ready-made audience because we live on a reasonably busy street and have a bus stop and corner store right at our doorstep. The steady flow of pedestrians were greeted with smiles and lots and lots of “Yeeeeeeeha”ing. His name is now Woody and we are not to call him anything else. I think we might have a method actor on our hands! Actually, come to think of it, I could have taken that hat off his head and left it upturned on the footpath … we could have made a killing!

Let the love begin | Sydney Family Photographer, Putney

I was asked by this gorgeous family to capture some images to “celebrate” the arrival of the latest addition to the family, Little Miss G. Such sweet sweet newness! Just as sweet was big sister, A! Do you think she might be just a tad excited about having a sister?! Doesn’t she look like she’s about to burst with love? These images warm my heart through and through. It is as if she is waiting for her baby sister to wake up and start playing with her … any … second … now! Oh the innocence … Oh the love … I wonder what the future will hold for these two beautiful little girls. They’re letting the love begin and that’s a great place to start.

Melanie and Andrew, thank you for inviting me to photograph your family for the second time. Your support and encouragement means the world to me.

As an aside, we are now on facebook. You can find karamac here!
